I just got back from a trip where we handed out and obtained some feedback on our “Colouring the Healing Path: A Tribute to Missing Children of Residential Schools” colouring book. I feel rested and ready to go!
It was so amazing to share this colouring book to help our people start to heal from the traumatic experiences of residential schools. It is a tough colouring book to work through, but we believe being a true “recovery warrior” means we need to do tough work in order to heal before working with others. We do not want to take our negative experiences out on others who do not deserve to be subjected to being blamed for something we ourselves are not willing to look at.
I love taking time off and then feeling super-charged to get stuff done! This week, I'm tackling work on our next program. This is our “Indigenous Sustainability: A Cultural Wisdom Exchange Program.” This is a 12-session workshop that begins every Tuesday and Thursday and every second week starting on October 10, 2023. This will also be streamed live. If you would like to attend this event, click here.
It's a lot of work, but I'm so excited and can't wait to share it with you. Stay tuned!
What are you working on this week?
