Better yourself every day. Make small improvements, push a bit further than yesterday, and watch your success grow by leaps and bounds. Surround yourself with people who make you want to be a better version of yourself. A phrase often heard in the 12-step rooms is stick with the winners. What is a recovery winner? Someone who is doing something with their recovery life. They will always be busy trying to help fellow alcoholics, to the point of burnout. It is not the savior syndrome, where they are trying to help others. It is not that people have a constant need to receive gratitude and recognition from others. Thus, it presents empathy and a need for sacrifice for others, which is constant. The winners have a life and are trying to share it with others so they do not have to follow the same mistakes that the winner had to go through. A winner is a true "recovery warrior." They are in a ceremony to help their people. This is a great place to be. Fall in love with all of it.

Who is one person who makes you feel better, and how?
