I know how tough it is to get started as a "Recovered/Recovering" Alcoholic or Drug Addict these days. It's not easy!
But if you're willing to put in the work, there are some great resources out there that can help you get on the right path.
Unfortunately, I made a TON of mistakes when I started that cost me both time and money.
What I needed to learn was to use my self-awareness to help me make proper choices. I needed to be curious but also skeptical at the same time, all the time. Being curious helps me understand the experiences of others. I needed to create or develop "MY" story so that I could explain my experiences to others in the hopes that you would be able to avoid the failures I endured. I constantly needed to be reminded of the scope of my authority. I did not want to step on any toes, and I still do not, but for some reason that is not the way my actions are viewed. I needed to become clear about the basis of my actions. This helped me become informed but not overwhelmed by the emotions I was feeling at the time I faced the crisis with people, places, and things.
On my blog, I have compiled some of the best things I have learned through my journey and all the needless mistakes I have made, so you won't have to.
